The super cell rubber fender, also known as the SC type rubber fender, is a well-known rubber fender type. The Super Cell Rubber Fender is one of the most tried and true marine fender styles ever created, and it has historically been the most widely used fender in the industry. The Marine Super Cell Fender was originally designed to replace the cylindrical fender, which has a more than 30-year track record of success with only minor improvements over the years.
High Performance Cell Fenders are intended to absorb collision energy between the ship and the dock during berthing for berths, dolphin wharfs, offshore docks, and terminals. The geometrical shape of the cell fender gives it sturdiness, shear resistance, a compact structure, and the ability to absorb energy equally from all directions. The cylindrical-buckling column efficiently absorbs axial loads and buckles radially. Super Cell Marine Rubber Fenders are typically equipped with large fender panels to distribute reaction force and keep the hull pressure low.
The large mounting flanges distribute the Marine Super Cell Rubber Fender loading over the back of the fender panel frame and allow for easy mounting bolt installation. It is intended to deflect in the axial direction.
