How To Install Rubber Fender?

I. Storage and transport of rubber fenders

1. Depending on the standard, when fender storage, should avoid direct sunlight, rain, not contact with acid, alkali, oil organic solution and other substances; and 1 meter away from the heat source, thermometer-10-30, relative humidity 50-80%. Under the above conditions, the storage period is one year and more than one year is obtained by use.

2. Rubber fender shall be kept clean during shipment and shall not fall, bump, drag, roll, hook, hoist, prick, row with hard material, contact with acid, alkali, oil organic solution, etc.; and shall be 1 meter away from the heat source.

3. The rubber fender transported to the construction site storage, the ground should be flat without other debris, fender installation surface down, neatly stacked, should not be randomly placed. In case the rubber fender is deformed and affects the installation.

II. Precautions in the use of rubber fenders

1. During the installation, all bolts must be tightened, the bearing chain of the anti-punching plate must be tightened, and the fender body shall be adjusted to the horizontal state to prevent the fender from drooping, which will affect the service life.

2. Avoiding mixed berthing of large and small ships. It should be docking at different terminals by tonnage.

3. No speeding, big angle berthing.

4. Do not take fenders to tie ships.

5. Should avoid broken board scraping, scratching, hook fender.

III. Maintenance of rubber fender

After the fender is installed, check regularly every quarter

1. Checking if the bolt is loose. It is better to weld the fixed bolt with the pad.

2. Checking if the fender body is broken, cut and other abnormal phenomena.

3. Checking whether the anti-flushing plate has deformation, depression and corrosion phenomenon, in order to prevent the anti-flushing plate from rusting, the anti-corrosion treatment should be carried out once a year.

4. Checking whether the anti-flushing plate is inclined, whether it is caused by the accumulation of debris on the fender body or on the inside of the anti-flushing plate, if it should be cleaned in time.

5. Checking whether the chain is loose and tighten in time.

6. Checking whether the sticker panel is damaged, it should be replaced in time.
